Christmas at Hazel Lodge, our Nursing Home in Ryde (and Festive Cheer Across Our Isle of Wight Care Homes - December 2024 update)
Yep, it’s that time of the year again. And, Christmas is well and truly underway at Hazel Lodge Nursing Home in Ryde.
We’ve been spreading the festive cheer far and wide. Our residents, staff, and even visitors have come together to make this season as magical as ever, with plenty of activities. And, or course, a lovely sense of family and community.
Getting Festive at Hazel Lodge
So, at Hazel Lodge, we’ve had a wonderful time kicking off the Christmas celebrations. The lounge has been transformed into a festive haven and that’s all thanks to our residents and staff, who had a brilliant time decorating the tree. It’s now sparkling with lights, baubles, and that extra-special touch – some homemade Christmas crackers crafted with love and a bit of creativity.
The fun didn’t stop there though! We rounded off the day with a visit to Busy Bees, where the festive spirit. (We recommend you check it out!). It was a lovely outing that brought smiles all round and got everyone into the holiday mood.
Highfield House Spreads Holiday Magic
Meanwhile, our team at Highfield House in Shanklin have also been busy making the Isle of Wight a little brighter. Their stunning entry for the Christmas Tree Festival at the Isle of Wight Pearl was looking impressive. It definitely showcased the creativity and teamwork of residents and staff alike. It’s always wonderful to see their contributions shining in the wider community (and their love for a good competition!).

Residents at Highfield House also enjoyed a heartwarming visit to the Good Shepherd Church at Lake. They attended a lovely service led by Tony Lawrence. The service brought a peaceful and reflective moment to the busy festive period.
